Young and Cool….
As I told you yesterday, I am taking care of my 8 and 9 year old cousins for the summer. I thought I would share a couple gems that the kids have shared with me this week:
9 year old cousin: Alise, what grade are you going to?
Me: I’ve been out of school a long time baby.
Cousin: No, you’re young, like a teenager
Me: Baby I am 32.
Cousin: Nuh uh, that’s old, you are young and cool.
My 9 year old cousin: Hey Alise, I’m so glad to be back
Me: What’s wrong, you have fun at your Dad’s?
Cousin: Nope. They tried to sabotage me.
Me: Do you even know what that means? Girl go saddown.
I am trying to think who is really trying to sabotage a fourth grader. I guess dramatics runs in the family!
My 8 year old cousin: Alise, what is dynamite?
Me: It blows stuff up, ya know makes an explosion or it can mean something is great.
Cousin: That’s why they say stuff is the bomb?
Me: Yo, that makes perfect sense.
Kids are so smart. They are Young and Cool just like me.
THE WALKING TACO >>>>>>>>>>
Kids are definitely so smart. And super funny. No one can make a funny like an ankle-biter.
The walkin taco is ALWAYS relevant! LOL!
