As you may know one of my best buddies in this urban wilderness known as the internet is the ever-foolish Cheekie of the super fun blog, Pinch My Cheekie. Anyway, I said all this to say that I would like to celebrate the haiku that Cheekie blesses us with frequently from the Word of the Day series in honor of National Poetry Month and just because I want to. (word of the day: jejune – Naive, simplistic, and superficial)
What if a chair was
fecund? To make little ones
for folks to have seats.
(word of the day: fecund – Producing or capable of producing an abundance of offspring or new growth; fertile.)
In the world of tunes,
“Face Down” by Prince is very
procumbent, ain’t it?
(word of the day: procumbent – Lying face down; prone; prostrate)
