Sweatpants and dress shoes…

A certain female family member that birthed me (-_-) often says, “Sometimes you act like you are 5 years old and  ain’t never had nothing before.”  Bad grammar aside, I do have little kid moments when it comes to the getting of things.   Prime example, I was the kid who had to wear new shoes out of the store.  It didn’t matter if I had on a jogging suit and we were buying church shoes, I was wearing those shoes home.  I have this extreme excitement about new things.  ANY new thing.   ALL the things.

pointer sisters i'm so excited

... and I just can't hide it!

I am just as excited about a new outfit as I am about a new pack of ink pens.  No hyperbole at all.  So imagine my excitement about getting a grownup Smartphone.  Ever since my funemployment I scaled back to a regla ol’ phone with regla ol’ service.  Basic, bare bones swag.    When I was working full time for the 1% and ‘nem in  Corporate America I had a Blackberry, but now I am a proud Android owner.

All Google AIRTHANG! Big Google, I mean Big Brother, is watching. Or something.

It ain’t the fanciest phone out there, but it is MINE and something I was finally able to do for myself as a treat for a tumultuous past year and a half.  I am ridiculously excited about  all the Big Girl features and apps and thangs.  I can hardly concentrate on anything not related to this stupid phone.  I am a kid with sweatpants and patent leather shoes all over again.  And I’m okay with that.  android-smile  What makes you get little kid excited?

    *drools*

Okay so i’m not easily excited by things most ppl are excited over. Famous ppl, babies, new puppies, shoes and fast cars. *yawn* I’ll take a few but im not about to hit the dougie over em, u feel me? I have come to pride myself on not gettin excited over just any ole thang. I’m “reserved”. lol.

Then a few months ago happened. -_-

I was chillin on the beach with my boo. Tryin to be cute. I was standin in the low tide area (thinkin i was secure) snappin pics of myself on my shiny fancy android phone. Out of the pits of hell, a big ass wave swolt all up and smacked me from behind O_o I went under! Thought i was dead and gone!!! But guess what i thought of first??? MY PHONE lawd my PHONE!!! I was on my hands and knees in the sand, drenched with one hand holding my phone high in the air, tryin to keep it from goin under. But alas…the pacific ocean told me to have a seat….R I P my google droid Motorola Cliq.

Ever since then, i have been rockin my Motorola Razr via 2005 <_< I've defended my Razr for its cuteness (its magenta!) and for the fact that i dnt have to pay an extra $20 for ritzy service & what not, But truth be told….i miss my damn droid! I havent beent able to dish out the funds for a new one as of yet but soon and very soon…a brand new Droid will rest in the palm of hands and nary a ocean will get near it!!! For THIS…i am excited.

When I had my second Backberry, after having a brand new Curve when they FIRST came out for a week I got in a very tragic car wreck in which I had a head injury, 5 broken ribs, broken leg, and host of injuries. When I woke up in the hospital the first thing I asked abut was my phone and laptop. -_- I ain’t shit, lol

I have had to do the RAZR defense and shame, lol, people are cruel.

I can’t think of one thing I’ve gotten excited over in a very, very long time. That’s sad. LOL!!!
